Successful translation project management in eight steps:

  1. Pre-assignment: Translation project details discussed with client.
  2. Prep: Selection of key-players (translator, reviewer, DTP, term expert, etc).
  3. Alignment: Existing proprietary terminology databases are complemented to each field.
  4. Translation: Texts translated to the best of the translator’s knowledge.
  5. Proofreading & editing: Orthography, completeness, layout and accurate meaning are checked.
  6. Text integration & DTP: Finished translations converted to the layout of the source document.
  7. Delivery: Client receives translation only after each step above is completed.
  8. Feedback: Client provides feedback on the finished project.
