INTERPRETATION

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR:

  • BEFORE you trust an alleged interpreter with your communication, see his/her credentials for the language pair you are interested in.
  • Ask to see the signed (by the interpreter) CODE OF CONDUCT of the professional body which he/she is a member of
  • Artists are talented: interpreters are EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS

 

The following types of interpretation are provided:

i) Simultaneous interpretation (cabin)

ii) Consecutive interpretation (roundtable)

iii) Whispered interpretation (accompaniment)

iv) Asymmetric interpretation (into only a few languages)

v) Relay(via a third language)

vi) Retour (from mother tongue into a foreign language)
